A Concert for Heartfelt Recital of Cyprus Hymns Held by YTB in Nicosia

Compiled by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), “Heartfelt Recital of Cyprus Hymns” met the audience on the occasion of a wonderful concert held at Atatürk Cultural Centre in Nicosia. The Cyprus hymns, which are a fundamental part of the cultural heritage in the TRNC, were rendered by Ahmet Özhan and his team.

Assisted by YTB, the works of Sufis and poets who once led a life in Cyprus were compiled and collected in a book titled ‘Heartfelt Recital of Cyprus Hymns’. Published by YTB publication thanks to the efforts of Hakan Alvan, the Heartfelt Recital of Cyprus Hymns includes the biographies of Sufis and poets, their works, the notes of the works, and the QR codes of their vocal versions.

Produced out of great and self-sacrificing efforts, the hymns were presented to the public at large on the occasion of a wonderful concert held at Atatürk Cultural Centre in Nicosia.  The Concert on Heartfelt Recital of Cyprus Hymns was performed by artist Ahmet Özhan and his team. The concert was attended by the Speaker of the TRNC Parliament Zorlu Töre, YTB President Abdullah Eren, and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu.
