Members of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union Visit YTB

Members of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB) New Generation Branch visited the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) as part of their history and civilization tour extending from Konya to Ankara.
During the program, the youth from Western Thrace were hosted at the YTB headquarters and met with YTB President Abdulhadi Turus. In his speech during the visit, Turus highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Western Thrace for Türkiye, stating that the region holds a deeply emotional place in their hearts.
Turus emphasized that since 1928, the Komotini Turkish Youth Union has carried out a significant struggle for the values it represents and the word "Turkish" in its name. He noted that this "century-old plane tree" continues to rise today on the shoulders of the youth.
Pointing to the importance of the cultural tour where members of the GTGB New Generation Branch trace the footsteps of history and civilization Turus expressed his hope that this journey would leave unforgettable memories. He also noted that YTB's doors are always open to the youth of Western Thrace.
The program, which spans from Komotini to Konya and Ankara, aims to strengthen the historical and cultural ties of the young participants.
