Cuma, Ocak 2, 2026

In the “2025 Writers, Intellectuals, and Artists Awards” announced by the Writers Union of Türkiye (TYB), the magazines “Telve” and “Bağlar,” published under the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), were deemed worthy of the “Public Publishing Award” for their contributions to the Turkish language and cultural diplomacy.

The Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) continues to receive recognition in the world of literature and art for its cultural publishing activities. As a result of its 2025 evaluation, the Turkish Writers' Union (TYB), one of Türkiye's oldest cultural and artistic organizations, honored the journals "Telve" and "Bağlar," which build literary bridges between citizens abroad and the cultural geography, with the "Public Publishing Award."

Words Transcending Borders: Telve and Bağlar

The magazines, which meet their readers under YTB Publications, aim to strengthen the voice of the Turkish language in the international arena.

Telve Magazine is published with the aim of preserving the mother tongue sensitivity of our citizens living abroad, particularly in Europe, providing a qualified medium for diaspora literature, and encouraging young writers who think in Turkish.

Bağlar Magazine brings to light the literary heritage of the Balkans and our geography of hearts, carrying the bonds of common history and culture into the future through the power of words.

"We Are Building Our Intellectual Future"

Evaluating the award, YTB President Abdulhadi Turus stated that the vision behind this success is seeing Turkish not just as a language of communication, but as a language of civilization and construction. Highlighting the mission of the magazines, Turus used the following expressions:

“Our magazines were born from our effort to bring distant geographies together in the fertile climate of Turkish and to build our intellectual future with words. It is our greatest pride to provide a platform for the rich literary world built by our citizens abroad through Telve, and by our kin in our geography of hearts through Bağlar. I would like to thank the Writers Union of Türkiye for honoring these fortresses of thought and art built with the power of our Turkish language in the field of ‘Public Publishing,’ and I thank all our intellectuals who have built this world with their pens.”

Preserving the cultural memory of citizens abroad and kindred communities, YTB Publications continues to serve as a "cultural bridge" through its printed and digital works reaching different geographies.
