YTB held the Istanbul program of the International Students Graduation Ceremony, organized for the 13th time this year. The international students, who completed their undergraduate and graduate education at the distinguished universities of our country within the scope of the program, returned to their countries with the excitement of graduation.


The 13th International Students Graduation Ceremony Istanbul program was held at the Ayhan Şahenk Hall of Boğaziçi University Anti-Aircraft Campus Garanti Cultural Center with the participation of Davut Gül, Istanbul Governor; Abdullah Eren, the president of YTB,  Prof. Mehmet Naci İnci, Boğaziçi University Rector as well as international students, representatives of institutions and academicians.

Speaking at the program, YTB President Abdullah Eren stated that  international alumni will make great contributions to the development of their countries and that they will also act as a bridge between Türkiye and their own countries. Eren stated that they provide several services in different parts of the world within the scope of the Türkiye Scholarships program, which is the official scholarship program of the Republic of Türkiye. Eren said, "As Türkiye, we have embarked on a journey with several partner institutions in recent years. We carry out significant projects on the way to great Türkiye, especially TİKA, YEI, YTB, Maarif Foundation. YTB implements the Türkiye Scholarships program, which is the official scholarship program of the Republic of Türkiye, with its services for related communities both in the former Ottoman countries and in different parts of the world. Türkiye Scholarships Program is a significant project that is based on the strategic approach to a great Türkiye."

The Family of Turkish Alumni Is Growing


Eren explained that the alumni will become volunteer ambassadors and said, "We are very pleased to welcome you to our country. Türkiye is your second homeland. After graduation, I hope you will become volunteer ambassadors of Türkiye, and on this occasion, the family of Türkiye’s Alumni is growing. Your families entrusted you to us, now the future of your countries is entrusted to you. I am sure that you will make great contributions to the development of your countries as our alumni."

 You Will Contribute to Friendship, Brotherhood and Cooperation


In his speech, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül mentioned that Turkish universities provide much better education than most universities in the world. Gül emphasized that Istanbul is also one of the most important universities in the world as a city, that its culture is felt everywhere along with its extraordinary history. If you study in İstanbul, you will have as much knowledge and experience as if you graduated from at least two universities. Gül also highlighted that international students will contribute to friendship, brotherhood and cooperation between countries.

 When you return to your countries, you will be an ambassador of Türkiye


Boğaziçi University Rector Prof. Mehmet Naci İnci stated that with the knowledge, skills and experience they have gained in our country, alumni will achieve great success in the future.

He also stated that the graduates have recognized Turkey with the education they received, learned Turkish culture and graduated as individuals who can think globally. İnci said: "You have a great responsibility as individuals who will add value to both your country and Türkiye while building bridges between the two countries. From now on, you will write your own stories and become ambassadors of Türkiye when you return to your countries. We sincerely believe that you will promote our culture, values and belief in world peace everywhere."


As representative of the 2024 graduates, Fatima Haracic from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Furkan Shaban from North Macedonia delivered their speeches at the program ceremony.
