International students who were entitled to receive scholarships within the scope of the Türkiye Scholarships Program carried out under the coordination of YTB came together at the "Welcome" event. Speaking at the program, YTB President Abdullah Eren said, “There is currently a Türkiye Alumni Family with more than 150 thousand members all over the world. "You will also be a part of this family by contributing to the relations between Türkiye and the countries you were born and raised," he said.

International students, who were entitled to receive Türkiye scholarships in the 2024-2025 scholarship period as a result of applications from all over the world, came together at the "Welcome" event organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). 380 students who continue their Turkish education at the Turkish teaching centers of 7 universities in Ankara attended the event. Ramazan Coşkun, Head of YTB International Students Department, made the opening speech at the program. Assoc. Dr. Tarık Demir made the presentation "Effective Communication". Then, YTB President Abdullah Eren addressed the students.
Explaining that they provide scholarships to around 4 thousand successful international students from different countries of the world every year, YTB President Eren said, “Every year, as the Republic of Türkiye, we bring around 4 thousand successful young people like you from abroad to Türkiye for university education. You were entitled to gain the scholarships by passing interviews and exams successfully. Since 2011, we have hosted nearly 45 thousand international students from 180 countries of the world at our universities. We are very pleased with this picture," he said.
“You are the future of your own countries”

Stating that Turkish Alumni, who completed their education in Türkiye and returned to their countries, contribute to international relations, Eren said, “Even though you are adult individuals, you are entrusted to us by your families. You left your country and came to another country. You create the future of your countries. I hope that after graduating from university, you will leave here as a Türkiye Graduate. You will be politicians, academics, etc. in your own countries. You will trade with Türkiye. Maybe you will work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your own country and come back to Türkiye as an ambassador. Whatever you do, remember one thing: You are Türkiye's volunteer ambassadors. There is currently a Türkiye Alumni Family with more than 150 thousand members all over the world. You will also be a part of this family by contributing to the relations between Türkiye and the countries you were born and raised. Don’t you ever forget Türkiye. Wherever we are, we will work together for a fairer world. Therefore, we must improve ourselves very well. I hope you leave here with good memories. I wish you success,” he said.

The program ended after a group photo.
