YTB Organizes "Balkan Brotherhood Iftar" in Skopje

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organized a "Balkan Brotherhood Iftar" program in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

The program was attended by Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation; Fatih Ulusoy, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Skopje; Abdulhadi Turus, President of YTB; Abdullah Eren, President of TİKA; Hasan Basri Yalçın, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party; Zafer Sırakaya, Deputy Chairman of the AK Party; Türkiye Alumni, and numerous members of our related communities.


​Erdoğan expressed his happiness regarding the opening of the mosque constructed by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) in Skopje for worship at the beginning of Ramadan. Stating that they are pleased to see the unity between Türkiye and North Macedonia bearing beautiful fruit, Bilal Erdoğan said, "As Türkiye, our bond and interest in the Balkans is unique." He added, "Under our President's leadership, Türkiye has truly reopened its heart to our entire spiritual geography, and we see the results and fruits of this through such beautiful gatherings."


​"The Balkans is One of the Regions to Which Türkiye Attaches Great Importance"


​Türkiye’s Ambassador to Skopje, Fatih Ulusoy, remarked: "Türkiye is an inseparable part of the Balkans due to its geographical location, historical, and cultural ties. The Balkans is at the forefront of the regions to which Türkiye attaches great importance in the field of foreign policy." Ulusoy also emphasized that Türkiye places significant weight on the security, prosperity, and stability of the Balkans.


​YTB President Abdulhadi Turus stated that people raised in the Balkans provide significant value to Türkiye. Noting that they will continue their work in the Balkans, Turus thanked the participants of the iftar program where brotherhood is reinforced.


​President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Abdullah Eren, stated that throughout Ramadan, TİKA will reach 600,000 people in 95 countries, from Turkestan to Jerusalem and Gaza, and from Colombia to Bangladesh.


​"We Will Continue to Exist Together With You Across the Balkan Geography"


AK Party Deputy Chairman Hasan Basri Yalçın expressed his pleasure to be in Skopje and stated: "In line with the goals set by our President in terms of the Balkans, building Türkiye, and guiding our future we will, God willing, continue to exist together with you across the entire Balkan geography, especially in Skopje, and continue to meet at such iftar programs."


​AK Party Deputy Chairman Zafer Sırakaya also expressed his satisfaction with participating in the program, saying: "Before coming here, I had the opportunity to meet with our President and Chairman, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who constantly follows the issues of our citizens abroad as well as our citizens and related communities living in the Balkans first-hand; I have brought you his greetings, love, and affection."
