YTB President Turus Congratulates Bulgaria’s New Grand Mufti Hasanov

The President for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Abdulhadi Turus, congratulated Dr. Ahmed Hasanov, who was elected to the position of Grand Mufti of the Muslims of Bulgaria, and wished that the election results would bring blessings to our related communities and coreligionists in Bulgaria.
Abdulhadi Turus, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), issued a congratulatory message for Dr. Ahmed Hasanov, who was elected to the office of Grand Mufti at the National Conference of Muslims held in Bulgaria.
Drawing attention to the importance of the Grand Muftiate in the religious and cultural life of the Muslim community in Bulgaria, Turus included the following statements in his message:
“I congratulate Dr. Ahmed Hasanov, who has been elected to the position of Grand Mufti of the Muslims of Bulgaria, and wish him success in his new duty. I believe that the Grand Muftiate, which is the representative of a deeply rooted historical heritage, will successfully maintain its efforts in the new period as well, contributing to the unity and solidarity of our related communities and coreligionists in Bulgaria, and to the strengthening of their religious and cultural lives. I wish that the election results bring blessings to our related communities and coreligionists in Bulgaria.”
In the election held for the Grand Muftiate of the Muslims of Bulgaria, Dr. Ahmed Hasanov, who previously served as the Deputy Grand Mufti, was elected as the new Grand Mufti. Hasanov had been undertaking various duties within the body of the Grand Muftiate for many years. The election was conducted within the scope of the National Conference of Muslims, which is the highest decision-making body of the Muslims of Bulgaria.
