YTB Shares the Blessings of Ramadan All Around the Globe
Salı, Nisan 9, 2024The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) met with related communities, Turkish nationals living abroad, and international students pursuing education in Türkiye on the occasion of Ramadan events as it does every year.
YTB has again experienced the sentimental ambiance of Ramadan, which is instrumental in boosting the sense of unity and solidarity, along with related communities, Turks living abroad, and international students all over the globe.
YTB President Abdullah Eren voiced messages of peace, unity, and solidarity to the entire Islamic world, especially Turks abroad and the communities of the lands that Turks have a shared history with, on the occasion of his events during the month of Ramadan. Mr. Eren also noted in his Eid message that the prayers are performed for the end of the oppression in Gaza and for all the oppressed in Eid al-Fitr as well as during Ramadan.
Abdullah Eren highlighted the fact that YTB organised a wide range of events throughout Ramadan, for Turks abroad and the communities of the lands that the Turks have a shared history with, as well as for international students pursuing education in Türkiye and Türkiye Graduates in various parts of the world, and made efforts to offer inputs for many events.
‘’We wanted to join Turkish nationals who are miles away from their homeland Türkiye and those in the lands that we have a shared history with, to show them that Türkiye does not leave them alone during Ramadan and to share the blessings of Ramadan together.‘’ Eren said, and added: ‘’We organised fast-breaking events and various activities in various cities, joined by international students from all over the world, especially the Turkic nations, with a view to not letting them feel alone even if they are physically far from their homeland and their families. This is because we know that their families and countries put their trust in them to secure their future. They are set to assume key missions for the relations between Türkiye and their homelands.”
Meeting Turkish Nationals in Belgium for Eid
Mr. Abdullah Eren noted that YTB is set to meet with the Turkish nationals residing in Belgium on day two of Eid, and added: ‘We will stand by Turkish nationals who are far from their hometown during Eid. We will celebrate Eid together in Belgium and take the joy of Eid from home to abroad.
‘’The persecution and massacre in Gaza that has been ongoing for months has deeply saddened us all. Unfortunately, Ramadan was bitter in this sense.
We pray for this inhumane intervention to end as soon as possible. I wish Ramadan to pave the way for peace and prosperity for the whole Turkic world, Muslim communities, and humankind as a whole.”
