Students from Balkan Countries Gather to Break Their Fast at an Event Hosted by YTB

Some students from the Balkan countries gathered around a table as part of the traditional fast-breaking (iftar) events held by YTB for international students.

Held on a yearly basis by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities for international students, the traditional fast-breaking event saw unity and solidarity for this year’s edition around a table with a sentimental ambiance brought about by the holy month Ramadan. As the international students had a chance to get to know each other better around a table, breaking their fast, they also explored traditions and customs of other countries. Activities were organized for international students from different countries on a weekly basis as part of the fast-breaking events. On the occasion of the events, the students expressed their enthusiasm about Ramadan and informed others of their own conventions, and set up booths to promote their traditions and customs. The final edition of the fast-breaking events was joined by international students from the Balkan countries. Over 600 international students pursuing education in Ankara attended the fast-breaking event.

Mr. Murat Kazancı, Vice President of YTB, took the floor during the event. Mr. Kazancı expressed his pleasure to share the blessings of Ramadan with the students around a table.
