The "Public Officials and Academicians Turkish Communication Program" (KATİP), organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) for public officials, diplomats, researchers, and academicians worldwide, will be conducted under the name “Turkic World Public Officials and Academicians Turkish Communication Program” (KATİPATA) with a special focus on Central Asian Turkic Republics in the new term. Through KATİPATA, participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan will be hosted in our country for 3 months and will play a role in building the bridges of goodwill between Türkiye and their countries. In addition to the language training programs, participants will have the opportunity to visit historical and cultural sites. A protocol for the KATİPATA project was signed between YTB and Hacettepe University. Within the framework of the protocol, the KATİPATA program, which is planned to be held in Ankara, will be carried out in cooperation with Hacettepe University.
Speaking at the ceremony, YTB President Abdullah Eren stated that they will conduct the KATİP program, which they have been organizing for 12 years, under the name KATİPATA especially for the Turkic world next year. Eren expressed that they have hosted more than 250 participants within the framework of the program so far, saying, “With the KATİP program, we at YTB have been hosting diplomats, bureaucrats, and occasionally academicians from all over the world in Türkiye for 12 years. We provided them with Turkish language education and organized cultural activities. While conducting this program, the idea emerged that we should organize a special KATİP program for the Turkic world in the last two years. Those coming from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan can adapt to our country faster and are more familiar with Turkish. In this context, we have also collaborated with Hacettepe University.”
Stating that a total of 16 participants will start the program in September within the scope of the protocol, Eren said, “Within the protocol we signed with Hacettepe University, we will start classes with four participants each from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, totaling 16 participants in September. They will receive their Turkish education at Hacettepe University. Again, together with our university, we will also create cultural and academic content for these participants.”
Eren stated that the program will help improve relations between Türkiye and the countries in the Organization of Turkic States, saying, “I think increasing the number of people who have received technical education in Türkiye is now very important. I hope these programs will be instrumental in keeping the ideal of the Turkic world alive between Türkiye and the Turkic states.”
Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran also drew attention to President Erdoğan's emphasis on the “Century of Türkiye” in his speech at the ceremony. Stating that graduates who came from the Turkic world and studied at our universities hold significant positions in their countries, Güran said, “We have been following your work with admiration and attention as YTB. The emphasis on the Century of Türkiye, Century of the Turks under the leadership of our President is indeed a very important opening for both Türkiye and other members of the Turkic world, countries. I think that all institutions, the officials within these institutions, our citizens, and the people constituting the Turkic world in every country have been given an important mission in realizing this. Many students from the Turkic world have come to Türkiye and continued their education here. Today, when we look, in various institutions.
