The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) provided continuous services for the Turkish nationals residing all around the world throughout 2023, and ran hundreds of projects in an effort to improve the economic, social, and cultural ties with the cognate and related communities. We shall neither make people forget Solingen nor our Aunt Mevlüde will be forgotten
A funeral ceremony was held in front of the arsoned house of Bilge Ana Mevlüde Genç, who lost her two daughters, two grandchildren and a nephew in their house, which was set on fire by the racist terrorist organisation Neo-Nazi in Solingen, Germany in 1993 and passed away on 30 October. YTB welcomes citizens abroad on their way back
Every summer season, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) works to ensure that the journeys of citizens, most of whom live in Europe, both to Turkey and back to their countries of residence are comfortable and peaceful. From the border gates of Serbia to Kapıkule Border Gate, the organization carries out both welcome and farewell activities at many points. At these points, many needs of citizens are met and gifts are presented to children. The return journeys of the citizens, who spent their leave periods with their relatives in their hometowns, have started these days. Last year, YTB reopened the resting and playgrounds created by YTB in a large area at Kapıkule Border Gate. Citizens departing from different cities of Anatolia find the opportunity to rest in this area created by YTB before leaving Turkey, while children have fun in the playgrounds. see more..

Training for Young Writers Around the World by YTB
The certificate program of the "International Young Writers Academy" organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Maltepe University was held. YTB Organized Overseas Citizens Festival in Emirdağ
Speaking at the festival, YTB President Abdullah Eren stated that in 1978, around 17 thousand people from Emirdağ went to Belgium and 56 thousand people went to France to work, and noted that the efforts of Turks in the development of Belgium and France were very great. Citizens, most of whom live in European countries, started to come to their hometowns to spend their vacations with the arrival of the summer months. The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organizes Overseas Citizens Festivals in cities where citizens living abroad are concentrated. Finally, YTB organized a festival in Emirdağ district of Afyonkarahisar, where citizens live in large numbers, in cooperation with Afyonkarahisar Governorship and Municipality. Evliya Çelebi Culture Trips Program
It is very important for our citizens living abroad to visit not only their hometowns but also Turkey's historical and culturally rich cities in order to establish a sense of belonging with their homeland. YTB also continues its projects in order to establish this belonging relationship in a healthy way. Within the scope of Evliya Çelebi Cultural Trips Program, which is one of these projects, our citizens will have the opportunity to discover the cultural and historical values of Turkey, and like the Turkish traveler Evliya Çelebi (1611-1682), who spent 50 years of his life traveling to many different parts of the world, they will get to know the places they visit and increase their cultural knowledge. see more..

The Life of Mother Mevlüde meets its readers in three languages
On May 29, 1993 in Solingen, Germany, a racist group set fire to the house where the Genç family lived and 5 members of the family lost their lives. Mevlüde Genç, who lost two daughters, two grandchildren and a nephew in the fire, was deemed worthy of many awards for her messages of restraint in the face of the tragedy. The approach of Mevlüde Genç, who made discourses that brought the two communities closer together, became a symbol in the fight against racism in Germany. see more..
