Contemporary Muslim Thought

In 2020, one of the most comprehensive studies supported by our Presidency in this field is "Contemporary Muslim Thought” This study, which consists of 4 volumes including Türkiye Iran, Egypt and the Indian Subcontinent, was completed with the contributions of 42 researchers from 8 countries. There are 12 chapters in each volume to enable comparative reading and these chapters are designed to complete each other. The study, which covers the scientific, intellectual and technical developments and events of the last two centuries with a temporal fiction, also includes short biographies and institutional introductory articles.

“They Were Human, Too” Crimean Oral History Study

"1944 Crimean Tatar Exile Oral History Study" was carried out in order to record the suffering of the Crimean Tatars during their exile in 1944. Approximately 250 Crimean Tatars who lived through the exile were interviewed and their experiences were recorded to be passed on to future generations and to be the subject of documentaries and scientific studies.

Meskhetian Oral History Documentary Book

The documentary book, which was compiled through interviews with Meskhetian Turks who witnessed the Meskhetian Exile living in countries such as Türkiye, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, aims to preserve the cultural heritage of Meskhetian Turks and pass it on to future generations.

Intangible Cultural Heritage of Uyghurs: The Case of Kazakhstan

With the project, the oral traditions and expressions; performing arts; social practices, rituals and festivals; knowledge and practices related to nature and the universe; handicraft traditions of Uyghurs living in Kazakhstan, which are recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, were identified, compiled, archived, exhibited, published and promoted.
In addition to the book and documentary produced as a result of the project, the Catalog of Uyghur Works Published in Kazakhstan was also published.

Catalog of Uyghur Works Published in Kazakhstan

Within the scope of the project supported by our Presidency, an inventory of Uyghur books obtained by searching institutes, libraries and personal libraries in Kazakhstan was compiled.

The number of Uyghur works published in Kazakhstan both during the USSR period and after Kazakhstan gained independence is quite high. The process of publishing works such as magazines, newspapers and books in Uyghur continues today. As far as it can be determined, the publication of Uyghur works started in the 1930s and has continued until today. In this study, 607 books published in Kazakhstan in Uyghur in Arabic, Latin and Cyrillic alphabets are included.

Meskhetian Turkish-Islamic Architectural Works

With the "Inventory Book of Turkish-Islamic Works in the Meskhetian Region" project supported by our presidency extensive studies were carried out in the Ottoman and Georgian archives, Turkish works between the city center of Meskhetian and Aspinza city center were found, these works were photographed and their architectural drawings were recorded. The inventory of architectural heritages created within the framework of the project has been made available to academics, researchers and scientists.

The Way to Gagauzian Autonomy (Documentary Book)

Within the scope of the 25th anniversary of the autonomy of Gagauzia, a documentary book, which reflects the process of gaining autonomy and the subsequent process of the region with newspaper reports and photographs of the period, was supported.


Printing and Distribution of Children's Books
 

Various books for children reflecting Turkish culture were reproduced by our Presidency and distributed to Turkish-speaking students between the ages of 7-12 in the sibling communities through the non-governmental organizations established by the Sibling Communities.

Printing and Delivery of Educational Materials for Gagauzia Autonomous Region (5000 pieces)

A total of 5000 books and materials were provided for the benefit of cognate students in the Gagauz region in their educational needs.
